Is Google Chat end-to-end encrypted?
Google describes Workspace data as encrypted in transit and at rest, and offers client-side encryption for some services on certain editions. QuiC messages and one-to-one and group calls are end-to-end encrypted on every plan.
Can QuiC meetings be recorded?
Yes, on Business and Enterprise, when the meeting is set up for "Recording & AI notes". Those meetings are encrypted in transit and at rest but not end-to-end. End-to-end encrypted meetings cannot be recorded or summarised.
