Which one fits your team
When to choose QuiC
You want every message and every one-to-one and group call end-to-end encrypted by default, not as an optional policy.
You don’t run on Microsoft 365, or you want a lighter app for frontline and mobile-first teams.
You want one simple per-user price in rupees instead of a suite licence.
Your regulated team needs an organisation-held copy of messages while the vendor still cannot read them.
When Microsoft Teams may fit better
Your organisation is standardised on Microsoft 365 and depends on Teams’ integration with Outlook, SharePoint and Office files.
You need large webinars and town halls, or Teams Phone calling to phone numbers.
Questions
Is Microsoft Teams end-to-end encrypted?
Microsoft documents optional end-to-end encryption for one-to-one calls and, with Teams Premium, for meetings. Teams chats are encrypted in transit and at rest. In QuiC, messages and one-to-one and group calls are end-to-end encrypted on current apps.
Can QuiC meetings be end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Each QuiC meeting is either end-to-end encrypted, or set up for "Recording & AI notes", which is encrypted in transit and at rest but not end-to-end so it can be recorded and summarised. Admins choose the default.
Does QuiC work with Microsoft Entra ID?
QuiC supports SCIM provisioning on the Business and Enterprise plans, which identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID can use to create and remove users.
